About the Karragullen Expo
The Karragullen Horticultural and machinery field day was first
conducted in 1984 with 35 exhibitors and 250 visitors. The
first venture in holding a field day was disappointing to the
members due to the lack of exhibitors and visitors. To
encourage more exhibitors, planning was put in place to have the
construction of a 1000 square metre pavilion erected, which with
the assistance of the City of Armadale was completed in 1987.
With the completion of the pavilion it is now possible to have
approximately 95 10 x 10 m² sites on the oval and 62 9 m² sites
under cover.
Since this first time the field day has evolved into an expo
covering a large and varied array of exhibits.
